View to the city of Sao Paulo from Banespa skyscraper. This skyscraper was inspired by Empire State Bulding in New York City, but Banespa is only 161 metres high. Sao Paulo is the largest city of South America and its centre is full of skyscrapers, like in New York. Tourist can visit Banespa skyscraper free of charge! There is a nice view down. The church between the skyscrapers is Catedral Metropolitana da Sé.

second favourite city in the world!

Ouro Preto is the first place in Brazil, which was included in UNESCO’s Worl Heritage List. In 18th century the gold was explored in Minas Gerais state and Ouro Preto was biggest city in Brazil! The population of Ouro Preto around year 1750 was 110000 people (New York only 50000 and Rio de Janeiro 20000!). The gold was exploited especially by black slaves.
